MEET RICHARD

​"Hi there, I’m Richard and I’m delighted to be part of the Holty Paws team. 

 

I grew up local to the Fareham area, right beside hundreds of acres of woodland in a house occupied by dogs, cats, rabbits, tortoises… you name it, we had them! That’s where my love for animals, wildlife and nature blossomed. I’ve never been a fan of the regular 9-5 office job as I love to be on my feet keeping active, exploring the countryside and spending time with my rescue Labrador, Dave. 

 

Dogs have been a huge part of my life since the day I was born. I have a natural affinity with dogs, whatever their breed or age, and love nothing more than long walks in the country with dogs happily trailing by my side. 

 

Thanks to my time in the armed services I have a passion for fitness and am always striving to be better, so your pooches will never tire me out!  Alongside my love of the outdoors and nature, you’ll often find me along the Jurassic Coast or the South Downs Way, usually accompanied by my gorgeous boy, Dave. My previous jobs have involved me being out and about no matter the weather, so nothing fazes me when it comes to our glorious British weather conditions. 

 

I’m a Registered Childminder and Cub Scout Leader for over 20 years, so I have decades of experience in taking care of young children and keeping them safe. When it comes to your fur babies, my level of care and dedication will be no different! As only a pet owner can truly know, pets are an integral part of the family and should always be treated as such with kindness, care and respect."
