MEET CHRIS
"I recently moved to the UK (Rowlands Castle) from Cork in Southern Ireland for a fresh start and a new chapter in life.
After working in IT for nine years, I realised it was time to follow my true passion—caring for animals. Pets have always been a huge part of my life, and now I’d like to turn that love into my career.
I’ve completed my pet sitting and dog walking diploma and will be continuing training in this area with a view to becoming a qualified dog trainer in the future.

Back at home, I rescued a staffie, called Lady. She had been mistreated before she and I met and it took a LOT of time for her to begin to trust new humans. She lived outside in my garden for two weeks, too scared to come into our home. We gave her space, time and offered her security and calm but all at her own pace. It took a while before one day she scratched at the window and she came indoors. It was the most amazing moment in my life...
When I wasn’t caring for my own pets, I volunteered with local guide dogs, gaining hands-on experience with different breeds and temperaments.

I have loved my training and getting to know so many new dogs and am really looking forward to the adventures we are all going to have together."
